You've done therapy and read the books. So why does your body still feel like it's constantly stressed, always 'on', or disconnected?

There's a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from knowing that you're doing everything right, but still feeling the same. You've tried meditation, breathwork, journaling, and maybe even medication. You may even know all about your traumas. And you've made some progress.

But underneath it all, something hasn't shifted yet. You're still emotionally overwhelmed or numb. Your mind still goes in circles. You rest, but don't feel rested. You can't stop repeating patterns, although you know what they are.

  • The real reason you feel stuck isn't a mindset problem, because the underlying patterns can't be changed through talk therapy
  • There's a common pattern that keeps exhausted, high-functioning people in a loop of trying, improving a little, and then arriving back at the same place, and it's tied up in how your nervous system responds
  • There's a hidden cost of spending years managing your nervous system (rather than working with it)

We see and treat our symptoms like they're the problem when, in actuality, the root cause is our lack of connection to our body.

What it feels like when your body finally starts to feel safe.

After working with me, my clients often don't experience a dramatic breakthrough, but instead a deep sense of finally being able to relax. A body that feels calm instead of over-stimulated. A mind that can be present and calm. And the ability to put in place boundaries and communication skills from a grounded, regulated nervous system.

  • What it actually feels like to move through a hard day without shutting down or feeling overwhelmed
  • How it feels to stop managing your symptoms and start supporting your nervous system
  • How somatic trauma therapy releases the trapped stress at the root and creates lasting change

The body holds the score. And the body holds the healing.

Somatic Trauma Therapy for Nervous System Healing

Somatic trauma therapy is body-based trauma healing grounded in nervous system science. Unlike talk therapy, which works at the level of the mind, somatic therapy works with what the body is still holding: the stuck stress, the emotions that were suppressed, the survival patterns that no amount of understanding can change.

I work with a wide range of trauma: shock, complex, developmental, birth and in-utero, medical, transgenerational, abuse of any kind, and collective trauma. This includes early attachment relationships, family of origin dynamics, what was passed down through your ancestral line, and the inner child wounds that created beliefs and survival patterns that may no longer serve you.

In a session, we slow down and get curious about what's actually happening in your body. Together, we find where the survival response gets stuck, and what patterns your nervous system keeps looping in. You learn to be present with your body, to feel it, listen to it, and attune to it — and gradually build the capacity to feel the pain and emotions that have been buried or suppressed. From there, we work to create enough internal safety that your nervous system can finally release what it's been holding and begin to heal.

I also work from a transpersonal perspective, which means I believe there are spiritual aspects of your life beyond your personal history. If the spiritual dimension of your experience is relevant or meaningful to you, I welcome that in our sessions too.

Through the sessions, you learn to trust your body and your nervous system. It has innate wisdom and knows how to heal. You learn how to parent your inner child. Consistent work leads to feeling more present, a calmer and more relaxed body, better sleep, more energy, a calmer mind, better boundaries, and improved relationships, in other words, a regulated nervous system.

There is a vast difference between stress relief (or feeling better), and actual trauma healing and nervous system regulation.

Who This Is For

This is the right fit if you…

  • Have been in talk therapy, coaching, practising meditation or other healing modalities and still feel emotionally stuck, depleted, or disconnected from your body
  • Are ready to go slowly, not look for a quick fix, and are genuinely curious about what it would feel like to be in your body and let your nervous system guide the healing
  • Want to explore where nervous system patterns began: in early attachment relationships, family of origin dynamics, and what was passed down through your ancestral line
  • Are high-functioning on the outside but exhausted and unhappy on the inside
  • Have a sense that whatever is keeping you stuck lives in your body, not just in your head, and you're ready to work at that level
  • Feel like your body and your mind are working against each other: you know what you should do, but your nervous system has other ideas

This probably isn't the right fit if you…

  • Are looking for a one-time fix with no follow-through
  • Are in active crisis and need emergency or psychiatric support
  • Want a purely cognitive approach. We work with the body here, and that requires willingness to slow down and notice sensation

The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.

Frequently Asked Questions

Completely fine. Most of my clients come to me without any somatic background. We start where you are, move slowly, and I guide you through every step. We go at the pace that your nervous system feels safe at.
Often, yes, and this is exactly where somatic work tends to be most useful. If you've processed your experiences cognitively but haven't felt it in your body, that's the gap somatic therapy addresses. We're not going back over the same ground. We're working with what the body is still holding.
Weekly or fortnightly works best at the start. Your nervous system learns how to do this work, and it learns faster when sessions are close together. Think of it like learning a language: one lesson a month will get you somewhere eventually, but consistent practice is how to create lasting change.
We can start, no matter how bad you feel. We go gently. A titrated approach that works with your current capacity rather than against it is central to how I work. You don't have to push through to get results here. In fact, the opposite is true. The slower you go, the faster you heal. But that said, listen to your body and the right timing. This work requires a time commitment to heal and rest.
This varies. Some clients notice something shifting after the first session. For others, the change is slower, a gradual change rather than a dramatic shift. What I can say is that four sessions over two months tend to be enough time for you to notice a tangible difference.
